Let me start this be emphasizing that she is otherwise completely housebroken and well behaved.
I adopted her from a breeder almost 2 years ago and ever since I got her she's had random bouts of pooping (and only poop, she's never urinated inside) in her kennel and then pacing through it, making a huge mess.
This has happened:
*While we've been away at work
*While we've been gone as short a time as 20 minutes
*Overnight when we were all sleeping
-Yes she got to go potty before bed, she's in our bedroom and made no noise about needing to go outside. We just woke up to the smell.
Some other details that would probably be helpful:
*There are 2 other dogs in the house that are not exhibiting this behaviour or any inappropriate voiding
*The newest addition to the house was last May and she gets along fine with that dog
*This has happened at 2 different homes, we've been in our current home for about 18 months though.
*She eats once a day in the evening, grain-free. Specifically Kirkland brand Nature's Domain.
*She gets the opportunity to go outside every couple hours when we're all home including before they're kenneled for any amount of time.
*The stools are solid, but still somewhat soft. No obvious signs of parasites. Again, this is strictly an in-the-kennel behaviour.

I do not want to not kennel her unsupervised because the other 2 dogs do fine in they're kennels but I do not want the three of them out together unsupervised because my oldest (14) isnt entirely with it anymore and picks random fights these days. I'm also concerned that leaving her out but putting the others in they're kennels will send all of then the wrong message and lead to other issues I don't currently have.
I'm hoping this is enough information to get an idea. Ive worked in animal care at a shelter for quite a while and have a pretty good behaviour background but this issue has got me stumped! I've tried giving her more space by just blocking get into the kitchen, she poops. Her kennel is appropriately sized, I'm just at a loss! Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you!

How often would you say it happens? I'm wondering if it is some kind of stress behavior?

It comes in bouts. She'll go a couple months without and then it'll happen twice in a week. It is quite sporadic which had made identifying a common stressor difficult.
