Nothing makes us happier than our dogs, we have decided to add one more and make it 6. We have a pomeranian (3 yrs), 2 pugs (4 yrs), a golden retriever (8 mo), english mastiff (1 yr) and soon a St. Bernard pup. Yes our dogs are our lives. right now we are dealing with a few issues, one being one of our pugs, which we inherited upon my moms death, is a barker and the others follow. Also we are trying to teach the dogs not to all converge at once when people come to visit. We have an acre of land with a large 30X30 fenced in area plus an electric fence. We have been putting the dogs in the fenced area when company comes and when they calm down we let them loose. The mastiff and golden have had puppy classes but thinking we may need to go back for more...any suggestions would be appreciated.

There's a lot of tips, videos etc out there to help lessen barking and teach them better greeting manners.. But because you have so many dogs I'd suggest working with a professional trainer. A trainer can give you pointers for working with all the different personalities and see first hand what methods would work best for you and each of your dogs.
