I've been invited on a hike, will be joining 2 friends and 1 other dog. I have done this route numerous times on horse back, so I'm familiar with the route. It's old skidder, and decommissioned logging roads. It's now well traveled with atv, hikers, and trail riders. All easy walking, 5 hour route. My dog will be on a 20 ft line, she's a 18 month mini schnauzer. We will be packing lunch, I would bring some of her kibble, cooked chicken and a few blueberries, and water. She now gets 1 hour walk in the morning, 1/2 hour in the afternoon, and play times in a large fenced yard throughout the day. I know she would love to join us. What are your thoughts?

That's awesome that she's lost weight. I've had to forgo any walks for now. We got close to a foot of snow last night. I've dug out a path for her around our fenced yard. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way of getting snow balls off her legs. Anybody have any ideas?

Toweling her off doesn't seem to work, unless I heat the towel in the dryer first. I've set up my groom table in the bathroom, then I use the hair dryer on medium. Bit of a pain, but it's working
