We have a 4 and a half month old Cavapoo. We got her at 10 weeks and began crate training her. She has been housetraining so well. She was able to make it all night long, 5 hours in her crate during the day and 3-4 hours while in the house supervised. She has had almost no accidents for the past month until the past 5 days. She is now having an accident every day. I am bewildered. After 2 days, I started taking her out every 2 hours again for the past few days. Yet she still is having accidents. Help? Please? Is this normal?

On a side note, we are using a bell. We ring it every time she goes out but she refuses to ring it on her own. She sits and looks at the door when she has to go but won't touch the bell unless we tell her to. How long does this usually take? We've had it now for about 3 weeks. Thanks!

To much freedom to soon, you have to be very careful. Go back to basics again and make sure she stays close to you so you will see when she needs to go out. You need to teach her to ring the bell if you want her to use it. This gives step by step instructions of how to teach her to ring the bell.

What accidents? #1 or both? If #1 only have her bladder checked.

Rule out a urinary tract infection.
