First off, I'd like to preface this by saying that I'm not trolling, I'm 100% serious with this. I've been banned from 2 other dog forums for trying to get advice on this admittedly unusual issue.

Basically, my 3yo Aussie Shepard is very fascinated with my penis. I first noticed this several months ago when I was walking nude down the hall from the shower to my room. I looked at her and she was basically fixed on my crotch. She even growled at it a few times.

She will jump up onto my bed in order to be at a better height to investigate my crotchal region. She's even tried to get a lick in. This is honestly a more strange behavior than a harmful one.

However, she doesn't do the same to my dad who has his own shower in his room. It's just me. Maybe it's because she's used to seeing him pantsless whereas I rarely appear before her nude.

I know this is kinda stupid but it's kinda weird to me and a bit annoying. What can I do about this besides block off where I am going to naked at? Should I be nude around her more so her curiosity wears off?

Thanks.

This doesn't sound like anything that people on an internet forum can help with. I suggest you find a trainer local to you and ask for help in person.

I honestly don't see an issue. I mean seriously how long in a 24 hour period do you walk around nude? Would it really be that difficult to put the dog in another room while you're getting dressed? I feel that there is a very easy solution to this problem if you're willing to simply change up your routine a bit.

Simple solution... Quit being around her naked, wrap a towel around your waist when you go from point A to point B and close the door behind you when you get to where you are going.

I think you are reading too into it. I mean, my husband and I walk around our room naked after showers and my dogs will try to put their noses in places they don't belong. We shoo them away and have taught them to place (go to their bed or on our bed) so they get out of the way. Maybe teaching her to place will allow her to still be in the room near you, just not all up in your business. Also, towels around the waist do help.

Also, I don't blame you for not wanting to ask a professional in person.

We have the most scent in our groins.

One of the reasons I don't let my dog sleep with me is because he likes to nestle his head between my legs and just smell my scent all night. It's comforting to them.

It's also safer and easier than smelling someone's mouth. It's the same reason dogs sniff each other's butts.
