101 Things to Do with a Box | Karen Pryor Clicker Training

So I decided to try this with Jasper, my 4 month-old cockapoo, thinking it would be a fun activity to take up time, teach him something new, etc.

So I get out a box, put it down and before I could even get the clicker in position, Jasper runs over and starts mauling the box. Had it completely shredded and destroyed within 5 minutes  There was no time to click any behavior. It was hilarious. So I guess we'll have to find a different activity...

Luckily, the "box" can be anything. :D

I've used Tupperware containers, baskets, rugs, cups, etc

Oh boy, sounds like some puppy fun you're having! (Jasper definitely found at least 1 thing to do with the box, right?) ;D

Cali is exactly right, you can use pretty much anything! My dog actually used to be a bit afraid of cardboard boxes (no issue anymore, thankfully), so we've used a variety of things. My favorite (we use them for "101 things," perch work, and other tricks) is a livestock feed pan - bonus feature: they're pretty indestructible!
