Hello, I have a Jack Russell terrier who just turned 10 and has recently started peeing in the house on a couple different occasion. Most recently was this morning when she woke us up by barking to go out after she had already peed on the floor. The weird thing is though is otherwise she is behaving perfectly normal. She's not even drinking more water than usual, Her urination in the house is also quite infrequent. The last time she did before this morning was last week sometime.
However I'm still worried, especially after what I've read about what conditions have this symptom. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be going on?

Go to the vet for a full check-up. If this is an age related problem, you vet will prescribe some brain enhancing supplements and maybe more physical exercise (if she's not already getting enough).

If it's not age related, then you vet can fix it with different medication.

It doesn't seem to be a purely behavioral problem. But just to be on the safe side, praise her and give her a tasty treat each time she pees outside.

In any case, there's always something you can do to solve this problem.

Please, let us know how it goes.

:)
