Hello,

I have a 10 week old puppy (roxy) who I got her 2 weeks ago. I started potty training her and the first week everything was working well she would potty outside (had a few accidents my fault I was learning). this week she seems scare of everything outside, from cars, other dogs, and either wants to play and run everywhere but won't potty until I go inside. I don't know what i'm doing wrong, when i carry her with her leash to the spot she usually pottys she whines, pulls on the leash as to go back in. she always pulls on the leash I tell her go potty but she wants to play with grass and twigs around the yard.

We have had way more accidents this week...so I want to know what can I do to have her potty outside and not be scare of cars passing by, people, or other dogs...since she usually focuses on them...and runs away.

this is my first puppy that I have to train...Ive had dogs before but in my country of Peru and overthere we don't train dogs since they are always outside and never inside...I need help. I want to make sure I'm doing things well to raise a well behaved dog.

thank you in advance

take her outside as many times as possible. but not only for potty. take piece of chicken and sit on a bench on a busy road with her. make positive associations. loud cars + chicken treats = immunity to noise. we have 10wk puppy and she is not allowed on grass yet (vaccinations) but we are taking her out every day for 10-15 minutes walk in our hands. on busy market road on busy metro. in first 16 weeks puppy learns best of what to ignore and what is just regular life noise. her senses are developing.
