1 year old female dog peeing frequently

I adopted my female dog almost 3 months ago. She is a year old now. Her previous owners had her chained up outside (since she was 2 months old) without shelter and in the mud. She is not spayed yet, but I will be making an appointment for next week. She is doing very good on her potty training. Hasn't had an accident in at least 7/8 weeks. She let's me know when she needs to go out by circling and standing at the front door. But, she asks to go out every 30 min to an hour still. I was hoping she would be able to hold it longer by now. I'm guessing it's due to her being outside her whole life and was able to go whenever she wanted to. I've not been crating her either. Am I going to need to crate her to teach her to hold it longer? Thanks for any help with this.

I would have her checked for a UTI. If she gets a clean bill of health then just start stretching the time between taking her out. Have her wait maybe 10 extra minutes the first couple of days then go to 15 and so on. Just don't make it to long to soon because then you will mess up the house training.
I'm having a similar issue with my 8 month old. She can hold it for 7 or 8 hours in the crate without a problem, and she'll sleep when we're home at times for 2 or 3 hours. But when she's awake and active and out of her crate, she asks to go out almost every hour, sometimes half hour. At first we thought she was just bored and wanted to go out and find sticks, so we would push it longer, but a couple times she was asking really insistently to go out and ended up peeing on the floor. When we're outside at the park she'll pee when we first get outside, and then often not pee again until an hour or more later when we get back, and then only because we bring her to her pee spot and tell her to go.
She's been to the vet recently and I don't think it's a health issue, but it sure is frustrating that she can't hold it sometimes.
Does she want to go out, or is it really she needs to go? Ours wants out far more often than she needs to go. Problem is, she can't tell you whether she needs to pee, or just wants to go out to be outside.
