When to start Doggy Day Care?

As a part of my planning to get the puppy, I had budgeted to send him to doggy day care a MINIMUM of 2 times per week (my days in the office when I have lunch meetings and can't get home to let him out mid-day to stretch, pee and play a bit).

Now that we've signed up for Puppy Kindergarten and play hours, and have participated in one class, I wanted to ask if folks had a recommendation of (a) what to look for in doggy day care <here in Seattle, there are establishments from farms/ranches to places in strip malls> as well as (b) when we should start? His vet gave him a clear bill of health, as he's 7 days past his second round of puppy shots, to participate in any dog meet and greet scenarios, but I heard that at 12 weeks, they start to get scared of everything? (My dog is 11 weeks). Is it better to take him now and show him it's not so bad, or wait until he's out of this phase at 16 weeks or later?

Thoughts on doggy day care in general?

We started day care at about 5 months, but the place we used recommended 6 months because the bones are still soft and they can break them easier with hard play. Also, keep in mind your dog needs to be up on all shots and should be through with all their rounds of puppy shots. I can't remember when those all get finished. I would probably wait until they are at least 4 or 5 months, maybe longer for a larger breed that isn't fully grown at that age. Day care can be scary for little puppies.
