Sudden weird behavior

I have a 1-year old beagle mix who we rescued in August. He was fixed in November. Completely house trained, never any issues. This is my 1st dog.

We fell asleep in the couch together and he woke me up as he was standing on my chest. He suddenly started peeing on me. I jumped up and he ran to his bed to finish. I got him outside where he finished peeing (after I had to coerce him out of his doghouse) and he pooped. We came back in and he hid in the kitchen while I cleaned up the mess. Then he suddenly pooped in the kitchen. Is he scared? He curled up on the couch and seemed to be shaking. Is it something I should be concerned about or maybe he was just sleepwalking/half asleep when he peed on the couch and just scared the rest of the time? Please advise if this has hasn't to others. Thank you!

You sure this is no health related?
Do his faeces look or smell different than usually?
observe if he repeats the behaviour if yes and he seems to be unwell, get him to a vet.

don't get angry at him. It very likely has nothing to do with him wanting to make trouble.
make sure you'Ve got a good schedule down and walk him every 3-4 hours.
