- Bitch/puppy interactions
What is normal mom discipline for the pups?? Ginger really really seems to pick on Cinna (the only girl) more than the boys. There are times she will not let her play. Will only allow her to sit in one place and just be all over her. She does this some with the boys but a lot with the girl. Is this normal? Should I do anything or leave it be? They are still nursing including Cinna so I do not think she is trying to push her out of the litter. She is not hurting her but there are times when Cinna is very 'upset' or stressed by this when it keeps on and on. Sometimes during their hour of playtime in the kitchen if I do not intervene or send Ginger out Cinna may only get to play for 15 min or so because the whole time is spent with Ginger on her like rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm! I dont know what is normal or when I should or should not intervene! Please advise!!
- puppy food/ treats
I've decided to go with cooked chicken/turkey and cheese and carrots etc for training treats as it's healthier than affordable treats and less expensive than the good treats. What can my 7 week old puppies have?? Can they eat whatever dogs can have now just in small bites? I have given them scrambled eggs, cheese, and small thin carrot sticks at this point but was really nervous and unsure about all of it.
They eat canned puppy food (all natural no crap) and wysong epigen dry along with some occasional nutro small breed puppy dry food. They each weigh under 2 lbs still. Just not sure what is 'safe' to feed them. Can I give them little bits of chicken and fresh food at this point?? lol So far they all have clean eyes and good poopies. lol - Socializing
The puppies are 7 weeks old now. Can I take them to 'visit' people and out with me on errands and stuff now?? I have a nice doggie sling to take them. Susu loves the sling much to dads dismay..
I have taken them to the store next door a few times and I do let people hold them but require washed hands. What can I safely do with them now? They have all had their first round of baby shots and wormer too..
