Sequoia can jump over her gate... :(

Yep. She figured it out. I'm not quite sure how, except that she's a husky pup and she's determined. She got out, peed and pooed all over the house, and chewed up a part of the carpet (thankfully it was just a small bit of the lining that isn't noticeable.)

Luckily she only had access to the living room, and my house is always pretty clean so there was nothing that she could chew and hurt herself on. But I noticed she peed in several spots and pooped twice, one on my entry rug. Erghhhh. X[ Horrible thing to come home from work to. I'm also worried that this set us back on our training quite a bit.

What do I do? Is there anyone else here who has/has had a husky? This fence was ridiculously expensive and the tallest one that the store had. It was an install it yourself type deal so I can't return it. And although I'm always prepared to spend money on my dogs, I really don't want to spend another $90 on a gate that I'll probably be getting rid of anyways... so does anyone have any solutions for me? I was thinking a big plank of wood, and installing the gate higher up. Maybe I could glue the plank with wood glue to the bottom of the gate?

Is the gate in a doorway? If so buy a cheap baby gate and put it above it..Always be sure to latch it on the inside of the door jam so it can not pushed out..I have used to baby gates like this and it worked great..
