Recommendations and Help appreciated!

I am happy to join thus forum. I've already learned quite a bit. So here's my dilema. My pup Hestia will be coming home soon with me. She's going to be a wonderful partner in life, she's a well bred working German Shepherd. However I live with another couple. They own two adult dogs. One is 5 years old a german shepherd/ collie mutt. The other is a terrier mutt with mostly min pin genes who is about 2 or 3 years old. The 5 year old dog is fairly well tempered, just no training. Though he understands he can work for food. The terrier has problems with men and absolutely no training. My biggest behavioral complaints is barking at the door and guests (wouldn't want it to stop completely, but to become quiet when told. I don't mind some heads up). Another complaint is just overall compulsion and entitlement, they have grown up with no leadership, poor dogs. I am fairly educated in training, I'm not perfect but have read and practice enough growing up. But I have no idea how to train a puppy without her picking up on these bad behaviors that I am not going to be able to fix. I know the couple spent $500 on a personal trainer and never kept up on the advice and training given. There is only so much I can do since those are not my dogs. Does anyone have concepts, tips, or expirience with this sort of thing? If I am consistent with training Hestia will it still be a struggle for her to not follow what the other dogs do? Hopefully I got my point across well enough. Also she will be crate trained and at work with me for at least the first 16-20 weeks of her life. So distance is possible. Thanm you so much in advance, I cant find information on this. I am open to questions and clarifications!
