Puppy Shedding (Min Pin)

Our 6 month old Min Pin just started shedding like crazy. Is this likely his spring shedding where he's swapping his winter coat for a thinner summer coat?

We're not sure of it's just the seasonal shedding or if puppies get a new coat as they get older.

Thanks guys.

Hi Sam314159,

Puppies will usually shed their puppy coat before growing their adult double coat between ages of 6 months and 12 months dependant on the breed.

if you are worried, that this is no normal shedding (as extreme hair loss can be caused by nutritional deficits etc.), rather consult your vet to ensure there is nothing to worry about!
