Pup destroys every bed

We have a one year old beagle/border collie that we adopted from some college students when he was 6 months. We've gone through 3 dog beds since then, including one for "tough chewers" (though that one lasted the longest). Every single one has be torn open and stuffing ripped to shreds. We then tried a memory foam anti fatigue mat, and that lasted 2 days. We've tried blankets and towels, and those all meet the same end. I even tried a carpet sample with a short pile, like the kind you see in office buildings, but he still managed to rip the carpet from its backing. Our puppy loves curling up with blankets or on cushions, and was definitely a fan of the round bed we got him. But he destroys every one. When we see him trying to chew we stop him, but he always manages to know when we're not looking. Any suggestions??

I would stop wasting your $ until he gets through this chewing stage don't give him anything to sleep on. Try again in 6 months.
