new to the forum in need of anserws

hi all

my bitch had pups 9 weeks ago today, they all went to new homes last friday when they were 8 weeks old, while they were with me they were all in great condition, fed on proplan puppy wormed on time and had just had a full check up and jab the day they went with a clean bill of health even the vet said it was a excellent litter or pups.

i got a phone call on wednesday from a friend who had one of the pups and he told me he's had just died.

im not expecting an exact reason for the death but an idea of what it could have been, from what ive been told in the 5 days they had her there were no signs that there was anything wrong, shes been playing and running around eating and drinking without any probs, they had been playing with her just before they had gone out, they came back an hour later and she'd died. he checked her air ways to make sure she hadnt choked and he said there was blood in her throat. im aliitle confused as tbh she was one of the more active healthy ones

any ideas

cheers

craig

Your friend should have taken the puppy to a vet for an answer...blood in the throat is horrible and sounds like internal bleeding

Yep sounds like the dog got into something corrosive, electrocution, or internal injury. Just my guesses.
