Need suggestions for 'baby gate' that cant be climbed
We have an 11 week old Jagdterrier named Unna. This breed is a little different. She's maturing very quickly and is a stick of dynamite. She has presented some challenges I've never encountered before. Biggest problem is barriers. She hates being contained, and can climb the traditional-style baby gate. Unfortunately when she gets to the top she tumbles head over heels and already gave us a scare when we found her limping around on opposite side of the gate that she was supposed to be on. Visit to e-vet and xray, no damage done thank god. We have tried free-standing gates. Nope, she just charges into them full steam and knocks them over. This is a 10 lb 11 week old puppy!! lol. I need a gate that can be locked in place but will not be able to clmb or chew it up. Suggestions? Thanks! She even tried to body slam the front door to see if it would fall down! I need one that can be locked in place while sitting flush to the floor, as a small gap underneath encourages her to try digging under it. Can't do that with most styles cause of the baseboards.
she also chews on her crate bars like crazy and the paint is starting to come off, can this harm her? do they have stainless steel crates anywhere? preferably with a lock? I seriously doubt the standard crate is going to contain this dog much longer she is very smart and determined to escape.
