"Ask your vet" is the best thing I can suggest.
You can try something like this: Dog Food Calculator
which might help as a guideline. But ultimately your vet can help you decide what the best amount is if you feel the specifications on the bag aren't doing it for you.
Puppy eating fast isn't a sign that it is starving for more food, though. In essence I personally would like Sam to eat all of her food and not see any left over in the dish.. if she still has food left over at every sitting, I'm probably feeding her too much and I'd reduce the amount. I'd like to see an empty bowl. She takes forever to eat though, I think that's just her personality.
You can also use Dog Food Reviews | Dog Food Ratings
to look up the dog's food and get a feel for where it stands. While it doesn't have your exact brand on there by the looks of it, it has a lot of their brands. Royal Canin isn't a "terrible" food (3-star ratings throughout the different brands, with the "vet" brands ranking lower by the looks of it, some at 2 stars), there are definitely better foods out there. So as the pup grows up, you might consider a change down the road.
