Let's get naming!

Well guys, the time has come to open a new chapter in my life.
I'm going to be viewing pups this weekend, they are lurcher pups so they won't be from a reputable KC breeder.
I will be looking at 2 black and white males, from what he has said they only have a little white on paws and chest.

I am struggling to think of names(early days yet I know) but figured why not see what others can come up with.

These dogs are working dogs, used across Ireland for rabbits/foxes origonally by travellers and I would like something that in some way will link back to that.

Anyone any suggestions?

It took meweeks before Leo cam home and like over a week after he got home! What sort of names do you like? More like people names or... typical dog names?

I like Flint (because of the black). I had Finn, Hudson, Silas and Cliff on my list also...

You HAVE to post pics. I love Lurchers.

Zoorun, I think you have read my mind!

Up there on my list was Flint or Finn, I think Finn means fair/red haired tho? Not too sure! I also had Skipp up there, not sure why.

I like origonal names I guess, Leon(my boxer) is the only dog I have met/heard of with it. I'm not a fan of names like max, buddy, charlie etc.

I guess this time a good working name would be rather fitting, not that I intend to work it lol.

I will try get you pictures of my dads lurcher Ozzie

So something short and sweet? Flynn is nice too! Hmm I know a little boy named Cy (pronounced "sigh"). My shepherd's name is Remy and there are a few dogs with that name that I have met haha, my landlord has a standard poodle named Remi.

Yeah short and sweet, I'd like to try and stick to maybe a traveller name/nickname or a working type name as this is the 'roots' of the dog.

For example what's your dog called? Gypsy. How so? I bought him from a traveller man. Something simple that has meaning.

P.s trying to get pics of Ozzie for you

I was so close to naming Leo Flint but Leo just fits him. Jamieleighx- take lots of photos when you go see them. Do you know what breed mixes the lurchers are or just undefined?

What do you mean they won't be from a reputable breeder? If there are no reputable breeders shouldn't you not support them?
