Im bringing him home soon....some last minute tips.

Hi all,

As you may have seen on some other threads, im bringing my puggle pup home in a few weeks.

Have already, excitedly, purchased him some;

Toys

Anything else you can think of that may be essential before i get him home and realise i havent got certain items.
I cant see anything but thought id ask.

Looks like you've done a great job with the the stuff so far.

Also, highly recommend a CRATE for the puppy. This is essential to make house training easy.

I posted on your other thread, but here is another book recommend. LEARNING all you can before puppy arrives is the best thing you can do!

Edit to add: I don't know if they are the full text of the combined book. Still, good stuff!

Thanks for the great info.

Will check out that book now, funnily enough was just searching through some training books etc.

A crate, ive always used newspaper before (dont know what all your opinions are) but it seems to work. Interested at this crate theory though so will check it out.

Great list, so far....the only things I would add to it would be:

Enzyme stain remover (such as Natures Miracle)
Nail clippers and quik-stop powder/gel
First Aid Kit for puppy
Ear cleaner
baby wash cloths (great for cleaning around the eyes/nose)
Nylabones
Kong
Rope or other tug toys (great to freeze for teething puppies)
Flea and Tick Meds
Dewormer
Heartworm preventative
puppy shampoo
toothbrush and paste
brush / deshedding mit
Crate
X-pen or baby gate
Stuffed animals
Dog food
Fish Oil - optional but will help with the shedding and so many other things
Id tag / Microchip
Patience
and a few dozen other things I'm sure I forgot...lol

Good Luck with your new little one
