Unhappy If I get a puppy will be older dog hate me? :(

I have had my dog Jess for about 10 years now and she is 13 years old, she is very spoilt and the whole family treats her like a baby.
When my nephew and neice were born she was very jelous of them, My friends mini yorkie has just had puppies and I am thinking of getting one but am scared of Jess's reaction
Will she hate me and the new puppy? have any of you been in this situation before?
My boyfriend has a bulldog and a suluki x pitbull and when they come to visit she gets along fine with them, but they dont live here.... I dont want to upset her.
On the one hand I think it would be nice for her to have some company and a little friend to play with but I am worried it wont turn out that way... Please help!

A very young puppy will probably pester her endlessly. Do you know how tollerant she is of puppy nonsense?

mini yorkie
Yorkies are all small no mini or toy exists

Crio has a good point, how is she with puppy behavior? Yorkies are also small and most of them think they are large, something you must consider about the breed.

Really? I always thought there was LOL never mind
And Jess is a bit like that herself, If she is going to have a little doggy strop you can bet it will be with the biggest dog at the park lol!

And I dont think shes actually been around a puppy before...
She can be bad tempered at times with other dogs but once she gets to know them she is usually okay.
But then again those dogs dont live with us and they dont come into our house.. Im worried she will go a bit crazy with a new dog in the house lol

If she doesn't get along well with dogs in general, then I would wait to get a new dog.

But if she is fine with some dogs and not others, figure out what type of dogs she likes. Many older dogs do get along well with calm, laid back dogs.

Take notice of the personalities of the dog she does like and of the dogs she does not like! Even if a puppy is not the right fit, you may be able to add a different dog to your family.

Can you ask your friend to bring the mom or father over to see how your dog reacts to them?
