We do what works for us. No bite works for Nyla and I thought it was worth mentioning since the OP's puppy is clearly not responding to yelping. I'm not sure what the issue is with me just stating what's worked for us with her, vs other dogs... I mentioned before each dog is different and what works for one doesn't always work for another. The OP should know that there is more than one way of doing things. We have used yelping every other time though with past dogs (that were probably with their litter longer) and it worked. Nyla isn't confused at all and knows what we mean every time. No bite (she stops biting), no jump (she stops jumping), stop (she stops whatever she's and waits for direction), where you going is (comes back in the room she's suppose to be in)..these are all we have needed and she knows what each means. Don't understimate their intelligence. I've put my input and will leave it at the OP's discretion to use the info provided as they see fit.
Again, I don't disagree that yelping works for most pups but it doesn't always work. Posted via Mobile Device
