How do I teaach Bentley to pee on the concrete?

Bentley is GREAT with house training, he pees on grass, around the house, and on our walks.. he never peed on concrete but I never thought anything of it till today. We went to the nyc to visit my in laws and to look at the windows and the bryant park craft fair. Bentley had a great time with us.. but he would not pee, as we could not find enough grass for his liking.. and there was a lot of distraction. He peed at 10:30 am when we left the house, he refused to pee again until we arrived home at 9 pm.. we were walking most of the day. we went all over stoped to give him time to sniff, tried mulch, dirt, leaves everything.. but he held it all day.. he pooped though once. he poops on concrete fine.. but not pee. He had a blast, he made tons of doggie friends and people friends everywhere.. we have this Bentley voice we do, and we were making him say "The city is great, lots new friends, but no place to go to the bathroom, no grass? what the heck does a dog do? pee on the concrete? eww it will splash my feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttt." you get the idea. he is cute and we have to.

How do I teach him that it is ok to pee on concrete? My Mother in law said her friend came out a couple weeks ago and brought her dog too and had the same exact issue. I was amazed he even held it so long! he is not one to have accidents in the house most of the time.. once in a blue moon if he has to go really really bad and no one noticed, like he forgot to ring the bell or something. So how do we convince him that it is ok to pee on concrete too?

I bring Murray to work with me and take him out to the parkign lot to do his business.

I take him to some left over doo-doo, he'll sniff and immediately do his deed.

Make sure you take him out when he NEEDS to go, the repetition and association will allow him to connect the dots.

Good luck!!

PS. Now when I take him for walk at home, he'll sometimes go on the grass but prefers to do his deed in the middle of the street
