He barks none stop

I've had Remi for a week in half now, and for the last few days all he does is bark. He barks when he sees me with his food, if I leave him alone, if he wants attention, to get my roommates dog to play, even at his toys if they are lying in the middle of the room. The worst for me is leaving him alone, I do in home daycare and sometimes I have to keep him in the room, but he barks, whines, and eventually howls the whole time. I've never had a dog that barks this much. How do I train him to stop barking?

And how do I crate train him? He will go in on his own, but if I close the door then he whines, and barks. I feed him in there, randomly put treats in the back for him to find, and will give him treats and tell him he is a good boy for going in there, I've been trying for a week now, and no matter what I try he wont stay in without barking.

Also for the last two days he has had diarrhea. I gave him hot dogs on saturday as training treat and thought that might be the problem, but it has gotten worse even after I stopped giving them to him. Its more watery now. He acts fine, he runs around, plays and still wants to eat when I feed him. Is there something I can give him to help or should I take him to the vet? He is my first puppy so I'm not sure what to look for other then not eating, or having no energy. Thank you for your time and advice.

Pup needs to see the vet for the upset tummy.

As far as barking, the ticket here is to make sure all his needs are met (potty, food, water, exercise) then absolutely not respond to his barking. If he gets a response from you, even a negative one, that will be reinforcing.

That said, if he's not feeling well, you cannot expect good behavior. I'd get him checked out for the poop problem asap.

Now also THAT said, puppies hate to be alone. Its frightening for them. If you need to confine him to a crate, and that is often necessary, make sure his crate is in sight and sound of the household.
