Alright, alright. I'll go search for Great Pyrenees images.....
I searched. Okay, that's Santa Paws. You got me.
But I'm not getting one!

I think it's a very good idea to not get a Pyrenees, they are livestock guardians and not city dogs. I really like lab mixes and all my labs were mixes so that's a route you could look into.

I hate to say this, but once again, we are going to be living in a house as big as this is. It's not Manhattan, it's Queens. Please don't automatically think about two big dogs crammed in an apartment.

I don't mean to be rude, just stating that.

You won't be living on a farm or out in the country with acres of land so it's the city to me, which Labs can do fine in as long as they get lots of exercise and training, but Pyrenees 9 times out of 10, won't.

There are sometimes wolves and coyotes hanging around looking for garbage there. It's not too far-fetched. No, I don't even have sheep.
There are also a lot of thieves hanging around (like here, for that matter.) With a Pyrenees and a Lab, that intruder wouldn't be able to set foot in our house. Even innocent people would be driven away from our house, lol. (You could get a Pit for that, but the neighbors would charge my parents with child endangerment.) No one would bother me again!

Then to you, we're already living in the city.

Maybe he was a lab mix. So was Ebony. I think the nicknames "Memory" and "Joy" are better suited to lab x then......

No way! Just saying..I saw the movie lol. The white puppy , "Puppy paws" that looks like a "white lab" (if there were such a thing) , well his father is Santa Paws, who is clearly a Pyr. The "Santa buddies" were all yellow lab pups. Cute movie. No relevance to the advice you were seeking though.
In my opinion, getting 2 puppies is suicidal. I had petparent post partum with just one puppy! And he's only 8 lbs..

A movie opened me up to a world of good guard dogs. I could use a Great Pyrenees right now. I'd dress my brother up in a ski cap, dark clothes, and sling a big bag that say 'Loot" over his shoulder.
ETA: Better idea, I'd have the dog guard the fridge.
