How many dogs? I think it's so cute when you get two puppies together. They are so sweet. My rule is one puppy at a time for me, because I love to enjoy every little moment with one puppy...then get another one and enjoy that time separately!

Which gender?
I have only girls. My fiance has a black lab female. Very smart.

Black labs or white labs?
Both are beautiful

Should they be spayed/ neutered?
Yes to both!

My fiancee and I got a puppy about 2 1/2 months ago and we opted to get the whole puppy package at the vets which came to about $700. (This includes all shots, check ups, deworming and her spay, all things she would need regardless of whether we paid in one lump sum or in pieces as we went along) Imagine if we'd got two puppies? Take that on top of the $1100 we paid for her plus more for crate, toys, food, equipment and imagine multiplying that by two?!! I don't know how much quality bred labs go for, but still, that's not an insignificant number. We are eventually going to get a second dog, but not until we're happy with Pero's development, training and behaviour and our living situation allows it. I have to agree with what everyone else says about not raising two puppies together. We did extensive research and decided to wait for the good of the dogs.

You don't need to be in such a hurry to bring puppies into your life. Wait until you're settled in to your new home then get one puppy. Take care of it for awhile, train it, bond with it, and then decide when the time is right to bring another dog in.

We got our mastiff when our GSD was 11 months. Bad idea, it was very hard work. I won't get another dog again without having at least 3 years between them.

Thank you!
I was wondering...do puppies in a litter sometimes vary in color?

Wait a minute..... are you trying to sway my decision to get labs? *raises eyebrow* Great Pyrenees are harder to care for, you know.

*or are they? I've heard they're less active..........*

Maybe he was a lab mix. So was Ebony. I think the nicknames "Memory" and "Joy" are better suited to lab x then......
