Hi everyone.
My husband and I have decided that we want to get a puggle to add to our household. We currently have a border collie/lab mix dog, Rambles and Coco our cat.
I haven't been able to find a breeder in CT, I would like to find a reputable breeder and we are willing to travel for the pup. Anyone know of any good puggle breeders?
here are pug rescues for the whole country...Iam sure they can point you to who you should buy from, or rescue from...there are several in CT..pug rescues Iam sure take in puggles as well..since they are turning up in shelters alot lately.
Thanks everyone. Our current Dog Rambles is a rescue, we rescued him 2 1/2 years ago he was a puppy. I am willing to rescue a puggle puppyy but we would like to get a puppy, the reason being is that our current dog is having some issues with being scared of new people and nipping if someone approaches him to soon. We have been working with a trainer and we all feel that it might be smart to get a puppy so that rambles can get used to a puppy. I have looked at rescues in the area but haven't found any puggles close enought to us.
I will look at the pug and beagle rescue to see what I can find.
Do they have health certificates for all dogs being bred?
Do they show?
Are their dogs registered (CKC, AKC etc)?
Do they breed other dogs/animals? (If yes-that's generally a sign of a get rich quick back yard breeder-they should focus on one breed of one animal and know their stuff)
Do they have full grown retired breeders available-and how old are they (good breeders retire their bitches after only a couple of years, doing otherwise significantly decreases their life quality and quantity)?
