One of Buster's best friends is an ESS so they would definitely adore each other. Anything and anyone Buster comes in contact with they are immediately best friends haha

Hi I'm Mak. I'm owned by a 3 year old beagle princess named Jayne. Yes, she is named after the Hero of Canton. :P We're from Green Bay, WI. I work in doggy daycare and Jayne works with me, but she mostly just sits on top of the ramp and let's me do all the work. We don't do any sports or activities because we're both low energy, but Jayne always goes on vacations with us and has a blast. Jaynes favorite thing to do is go up north. We've worked very hard and now she can be off leash all the time up there. I also have a million pictures of her, but I'll narrow it down to a few. :P

Hey, I'm Sal/FailedSlacker and I'm a dog sport addict.

I currently compete in Agility, Flyball, Rally-O and disc dog. I compete in flyball most often, and compete in disc dog most seriously. I'm also training in dock diving and barn hunt for eventual competition purposes. Oh, and I skijor and do nosework just for fun.

I have four dogs.

Ratchet is an 8yo heeler mix who does agility, flyball, rally and barnhunt.

Tesla is a 7yo GSP/GSD who does rally and nosework.

Prowl is a 4yo sports-bred border collie who does flyball, disc dog, agility, and dock diving (and does everything very enthusiastically).

Bernoulli is a 2yo BC-mix who does agility, flyball, rally-o, and barn hunt.

I also work with two of my parents' three havanese. Mojo is 7yo and Moxi is 5. I compete with them in agility and occasionally rally-O. I was planning on doing Barn hunt with Moxi, but she let a mouse run right past her with no interest, so that probably isn't her sport.

I live in a small town in southern Saskatchewan and commute into Regina. I work as a code monkey and plan to start my masters this year in bioinformatics (ideally focusing on computational evolutionary paleobotany). My other hobbies include: obsessing over CFL football (and CIS/CJFL), breeding plants, and making artisan bread.

Oh, and I love Lucy.

This is a great idea! I never introduced myself so here it goes!

My name is Theresa, aka bigargylesock, and I'm in my mid-30's. I live in southeastern Michigan with my husband and our lovely BC-American Eskimo mix, THEODORE.

When I'm not trying to tire Theo out, I work as a therapist. I enjoy cooking, spending time with my friends, and learning new skills...seriously I'm always taking sewing lessons, or looking into playing the piano, or learning how to cook a new cuisine, or attempting to craft, or, or or or or...etc.

Theo is 1.5 years old! He's got LOADS of energy. My friend described him best when she said, "he's always looking around, like 'OK guys, what's next???'" He has a hard time calming down and can be an excessive humper, but he's also incredibly smart, protective, and a lot of fun. He's really into the "intense staring" BC behavior, as evidenced by picture #2.

I love this forum for teaching me the ways of +R, which is much more my discipline style (love and logic, anyone??). This resource has been invaluable to me! Thanks DF!

Oh I love introduction threads!

I'm jclark343, but better know as Jessica. I'm 27 (gah! I hate saying that!) and I live in South Florida. Right now I am working at a law firm as a Receptionist and currently going to school for Business. I am engaged, and planning on getting married in May. I use to train at one of the big box store, but have been out of that for a few years.

Currently I with with my 2 dogs.

Roxie is my 3 going on 4 year old street lab. I found her at about 6-7 weeks old running up a busy street on my way to work. No one ever came to claim her and TO BE HONEST I was kind of wanting a puppy at the time. It worked out perfect. Currently she is my agility dog, and she loves it. And MAN can she sore over jumps. She's also the resident couch potato. She;s opinionated, and can be moody, but she's a love.

The day I found her

At agility class the other night

Forbes is my 1 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd. I got him in May from his breeder. He was originally bred to be her confirmation show dog but unfortunately his white collar goes too far past his withers, making it difficult to show without getting faults. She decided that he would be better suited in another life. He has been started on agility, but I don't think it is his thing. I am thinking about starting him on Rally-O, maybe a class this summer after I get married. We also do some sheep herding. He's just a goof.

A baby picture from the breeder.

I also still visit my first dog I ever got in college, Scarlett, who lives with my parents. She is a grouchy old lady who doesn't adjust well to change, so when I moved out we decided that she would do better staying behind. She is now my Stepdads dog.

The family (please excuse my horrible face, but it is the best one of the dogs).

Hi, everyone! I'm the 'M' in MJAN which stands for Melanie, Jake, Athena, and of course Nala. I'm 22 and currently live in Madison, WI. I've only been here 6 months, I was raised in Willowbrook, IL a suburb outside of Chicago. I'm currently a receptionist looking to be an entrepreneur, Jake has a ton of business ideas which I would help run/own. I started my college career as a Bio/Chem major with hopes of being an anesthesiologist. Thanks so my wonderful angels I've decided to do something more appropriate and become an animal behaviorists. I have a crazy obsession with any canine, mainly wolves.

Athena is my first poop-machine. She is a 2.5 year old black lab weighing in at 65 lbs. My best friend at the time adopted her from a pet store so she was a puppy mill dog. About a month in, my friend got evicted and left Athena to stay with me until she got settled. Clearly that did not work out as Athena became our beloved family dog. When I mentioned I wanted a dog to my mom after moving she sent Athena to stay with me to see if I could handle owning a dog on my own. Obviously I didn't mind it seeing as I got Nala a month later

Nala is a mixed breed poop-machine. Supposedly half staffy half who knows. She's 5 months old, weighing in at 30 lbs. Funny story, we fostered Nala for a week before deciding and the puppy we had originally wanted was unavailable but suddenly became available once we began fostering Nala. The other pup was more visually pleasing, she was grey/black with the most unique color pattern I had ever seen. I planned on naming her Nyx, my favorite name of all time. As you can see we stuck by Nala and I would not take it back for one second. Nala is the craziest, goofiest, most lovable dog I have ever met.

Between the two I've been on a roller coaster with Athena's newly observed reactivity to other dogs caused my barrier frustration, her joint problems, and Nala just being Nala LOL. I'm so happy I found this forum as not only did it give me so much insight on helping my girls but it has encouraged me to get back in touch with the little girl who always wanted to be a vet and help animals. I've recently applied to become an apprentice to a trainer at a dog facility that only practices positive reinforcement.

Now here are some before and after pictures of my beautiful angels

I'm Lauren, 28. I have 3 dogs.

Summer- Nearly 11 year old papillon. Sweetest dog ever. Likes to be everyone's BFF. Perfect in every way. She and i do agility together... or well we did agility together. She is mostly retired save a few teacup trials here and there. she's my first dog to try sports with and just the BEST girl. We've also tried nosework and rally-o.

Then Mia, almost 6 years old. Mama's girl and babydog. Spoiled rotten. Opinionated. Brattish. She is my heart. She has health issues so these days is a stay at home dog though has been trained to agility competition in the past. She's been retired nearly a year.

Then Hank. 1 year old wild boy. I got him from a shelter this year and he's teaching me a lot! He's goofy, fun, crazy. Lots of drive and very rowdy.

He's also teaching me to get into shape.

I haven't really been around long enough to need re-introducing, but it's always fun to talk about yourself.

I'm Des/Liminal. I'm twenty five years old, which feels like it skews ancient on these forums. I declined to get an MA in Cognitive Studies for financial reasons, ended up developing software, and am now re-considering an MA, this time in Human-Computer Interaction. My real world hobbies include hiking, biking, running, spending long periods of time in front of computers, research in a few different areas, photography, sketching, writing, etc. etc. My on-forum hobbies include telling people that their shelter dog most likely isn't a Catahoula and that they shouldn't bother spending money on high-end dog products because it's all so overpriced. I come from a family of dog people but probably not the kind you'd have wanted to get a puppy from. I guess we all have faults.

My one and only dog is a displaced swamp monster named Index. He's whiny, bitey, pushy, and loves sticking his nose in it, whatever it is. He's living proof that a dog can know lots of cues and still also be incredibly annoying. I'd be totally devastated if anything separated us. He's my best bro times a million. Also my grandmother likes him and this is an important sign of ownership success because she hates anything other than small dogs as a rule.

Indy is only eight months, so our activities are limited, but we do a lot of trick training, some back yard agility, some tracking, and will be doing bikejor and packing as well. I tend to prefer solitary activities but am considering looking into some sports classes for us if I can fit them into my schedule - it's a bit tricky because we're not very close to the nearest place that offers them. I'd like to earn a packing title, at least.

A broken memory card has kept us from taking many recent photos, but if you ever wanted to know what a Catahoula puppy looks like trying to mooch some veggie burger from a badly dressed lady in the early autumn sunlight, boy did you come to the right place.

I am Kippers from Piddle Place. I am a shelter dog, now 13 years old. I am so happy to be on this forum to find out ideas for us older dogs. I live in Jupiter Florida, and love running the beach with mom. Some days, mom lets me drive. or at least that's what the people behind us think.
