Nutritional advice

Hi!

I am new to Dog Forum & just wanted to introduce myself. I have a Border Terrier who is my best mate (yep, husband & kids come further down in my pecking order!), her name is Gemma & she is VERY old!

I am a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and have spent the last 18 years or so working within the pet food industry. So, if anyone would like any advice on feeding their dog I would be more than happy to make comment based on my experience - and not necessarily linked to any one specific company. General advice & guidance is what I can offer. And whilst I do this I will also enjoy sharing with you guys your experiences and support. I know that forums are a very valuable tool and I hope you will accept me as a part of your very special community.

Hi Ali,

Dog forum has a dog food thread category and I'd love for you to pop over there and post your thoughts on a good, affordable canned dog food that I might be able to mix with Taste of the Wild Prarie Version kibble to soften it and make it more desirable to my picky eater Papillion Mix and my 14 year old poodle with few teeth.

I'm going to be boiling chicken and adding that along with salt free chicken bullion, but would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Welcome to Dog Forum!

Hi Radar,

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm completely new to forums - how do I post a new thread? Infact, I've prepared some text to post for you to read but I am a bit concerned it's looking more like a blog than a thread. When does a thread become a blog?

I do want to be sure to get it right.

Ali

At the top left of the page, click Dog Forum..that will take you back to the home where all the categories are listed. Click on the dog food forum and then at the top and at the bottom there's a link that says Start a Thread. Click that and post there, giving it a title.

It does take some time getting used to using a forums, but once you do you'll find them very informative. There are forums all over the internet for about every subject and I often go looking for one when I have questions on certain subject. My passion is dogs though, so this is where I hang out the most when I'm online and not working. I just joined about a month ago, so I'm really a newbie here too.

Canned food

Thanks, Radar.

I have now posted my thoughts on different types of food under the Dog Food Forum.

I hope my observations are helpful to you in making an informed decision.

Whilst I know you are looking for a canned food it may be useful to check out *snip*- products are available in the US

Ali
