Just over a week ago I adopted 5 kilos of doggy perfection called Pina from the only no kill shelter in my area. She is about 1.5 years old and is a complete mongrel but she is so loving and energetic. She was abandoned in a rubbish dump in the middle of nowhere as a pup and then spent a year in the shelter so every day I'm thankful that I am able to give her the loving home that she deserves. She is the first dog that I am soley responsible for but I have spent lots of time with various other dogs, including labs, spaniels, and an old English sheepdog who stole my heart.
As for me personally I am a huge animal lover, a vegan, animal rights activist and am studying marine biology so that eventually I can work to save cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) which are my biggest passion, especially orcas. I've also been lucky enough to do lots of volunteering with various animals including vervet monkeys in South Africa.
Oops my introduction ended up being a bit more than quick, sorry. When I get talking about animals there is no stopping me!
