New Mutt from CA

Hello, I am new to the forum and thought I would introduce myself and my dog. A year ago, my fiancee and I decided to start a family, so we adopted a 10 week old tri-colored puppy from the Humane Society and brought him home. Not much was known about Maverick when we got him, but we accepted him no questions asked. As he grew, his personality started showing more and more. He went from a 5 lb pup to a 65 lb dog in the year that we have had him. He is very loving and smart. His energy level is high when he doesn't get his walk/run/play time, but is very mellow unless someone walks by the front door or rings the doorbell! When he was about 6 months old, we decided to do a DNA test for fun, and it came back that he had quite a few breeds in his lineage, but Doberman was the predominant one. This may or may not be, but he is very loved. He is very aware of his surroundings and strangers, and he is very good with other dogs, except for covering small ones with slobber! I thought I would say hi and share some pictures!

that's it for now!

My family has always been big on adopting. Nothing against anyone who buys dogs, but we have always had really good luck with adopted dogs. Same goes for mutts!

Here are a couple more pictures:

and a puppy pic!

Was that a terrier tail I saw? Good for you for adopting.
Everyone should adopt just one, life would be so much better for all these dogs and puppies.

I think we used the Wisdom Panel DNA test; results came back with Doberman, Weimaraner, Akita (the tail maybe), Catahoula Leopard, and a couple others. Could be right, who knows!

I am a firm believer in adoption! To me, they are the best dogs.

What a cutie! I wonder what else he has in him, maybe it's just me but I don't see the Doberman...

He is really a cute dog though.
