New Guy from southern Illinois!

Hi everyone! My name is Cade and I live on a small farm with goats, chickens, donkeys, and of course, FARM DOGS. My dogs are working dogs that all have jobs wound the farm but they still are spoiled rotten! I have a Great Pyrenees, Diamond, and of course she protects the goats from harm. I also have a spolied brat of a blue merle Mini Aussie named Pixie. She herds the goats when they get out of hand and she also comes with us wherever we go. Last but not least my baby Patches, she is a Rat Terrier and her "job" around here is to "defend" the house from robbers. She is also wonderful at getting rid of those pesky moles.(She thinks she is a huge Doberman but we're not gonna tell her different.)

I can't wait to get to know you all!

Cade,

Hi Cade! I love the descriptions of your farm dogs and their various jobs. It's good you have a terrier for home protection. My now deceased JRT was our fiercest protector unless someone offered him a cookie. lol

I have friends who raise sheep and goats and they have Pyr's and Marremas for the protection of their large flocks. These dogs live among the flocks on a three thousand acre ranch.

What breeds of goats do you have on your "homestead"? That's cool you have goats too.

LaManchas and Alpines, though I'm borrowing a Saanen from my LaMancha's breeder right now. What breeds do you have?
