Unhappy My poor puppy

I have a Great Dane puppy and he has a sensitive stomach and hasnt done well with some dog. Our vet has put him on prescription dog food and on different antianflamitories due to his bowels being inflamed. The vet said this is happening because his stomach is sensitive and doesnt due well with some dog foods. So if any Great Dane owners have went through this or have any advice, please help.

What food is he on?

What foods have you tried?

How old is he?
When did the problems first start?
How are his symptoms at this point?

Has he been tested for Giardia and other internal parasites?

He was on this Kirkland puppy food and tried this other puppy food but both would make his stool like water.

Currently he is on prescription dog food called w/d. The prescription food makes him completely fine but he can't stay on it because it's just for making his bowels fixed. We need to find a dog food that will actually be good with him.

He is 16 weeks old and the problems have been like this since we first got him.

His stool has been tested for all parasites and it came up negative on everything, so he is okay in that aspect.

That is very good that his stool is fine now.

Mythbuster may be able to help you find a good food. If she does not stop by this thread (and she probably won't because its not in the health section) you could try starting a thread in the health section asking about a good food for a sensitive stomach. Mythbuster has a special interest in dog nutrition. Holly might also be able to help you. So look for replies from them.

Best of luck!
