Moi.

Hi. Just thought I 'd drop by and introduce you folks to Zara, a 23month old Sar' and Oscar, a 21month old Sar'. This photo was taken last year just after the big Oz was recovering from surgery to correct hip Dysplasia.

As you can clearly see from this photo, you just can't keep a good dog down.

Thanks and my apologies. Sar' is short for Sarplaninac. I'm sure you can appreciate that it's far easier to say and type Sar'.

Welcome, they really are beautiful dogs. How big are they if you don't mind me asking ? I have heard so many differing standards for that breed, it would be nice to hear from someone who actually owns them.

Of course I don't mind you asking.
Oscar now stands approximately 75cm at the shoulder whereas his partner in every crime they commit stands 63cm. Oscar weighs slightly under 70 kilos and is a little lean for his size which is a set back from his corrective surgery. A problem we constantly try to rectify. Zaz weighs somewhere in the region of 50 kilos.

To give you some estimation of their size, enclosed is a video of them at 7 and 9 months.
Hope you enjoy.

Wow! They are really big dogs, In that video they are already really big so I ca just imagine how they are now. And that forest area they're in looks so perfect for them to play around and explore, I bet they are really happy dogs. I just love big dogs, they're so noble looking.
