Let me introduce me introduce myself...
I live in Texas, have a bachelor's degree in pre-veterinary animal science, and work as a kennel attendant/veterinary technician at a veterinary hospital. I have enlisted in the U.S. Army as a health care specialist (aka medic) and will ship out to basic training in March. I know what you're wondering at this point. The reason I'm going into the army and not vet school is that I need a break from school...when your grades start slipping simply because you're losing interest, it's time for a time out. Hopefully vet school will be more interesting. In the mean time, it's pre-basic training (push-ups, sit-ups, running, target practice, etc).
Back to the subject of dogs...I love dogs, own 8 of them, and work with them everday. I'm fortunate to work at a veterinary hospital that offers services that many clinics/hospitals don't offer, such as echocardiograms, laser sugery, semen freezing, and artificial insemenation (for dogs, not livestock). I therefore have experience with relatively rare breeds that most people never come across. However, I don't know everything there is to know about dogs and it seems like almost everyday I learn something new. That's why I'm here, to learn more, but I'll also be glad to share the knowledge that I do have.
Sorry about the title. I got distracted while I was typing it, and this site won't let me edit it.
