I'm brand new here!

Hi everyone!

I thought I would introduce myself on here! My name is Laura and I'm a graphic designer living in Ontario, Canada.

This christmas my family and I took home our very first dog. He's a Chiweenie named Oliver. :-) He looks more like a dachshund with a long body, long snout, but has some funny folded ears and longer legs. His mother was a chiweenie, and the father was a purebred standard dachshund. Oliver is sweet, but he's also a trouble maker. He loves to be silly, but also has anxiety which causes a couple behavioural issues that are difficult to deal with as a first time dog owner.

Be as he may, we love him to death! Hopefully by joining here we'll be able to get the advice we need to help make our lives and his better together!

here's some photos of our little guy!

He's a silly boy!

This was him the day we brought him home...

(and since I am a hobby photographer, the obligatory portrait)

I was not able to keep myself healthy while living on campus. I got depressed a lot and the people who lived around me were not very good.

I am waiting until my boyfriend and I get an apartment, then I will be commuting

Campus life is hard, I decided to avoid that route and lived from home, commuted too and worked part time to pay my mother some rent (she didn't ask for it, but I didn't want to help out)

Good luck with that, it's definitely the healthier choice. I'm sure you'll do very well! School is stressful all together, I was quite happy when I finally graduated after four years! :O

Im going to a community college so I only have to go for two years. But I have a learning disability so I have to take two extra math classes (which are one of the hardest for me). Once we get an apartment I will only be taking two or three classes at a time. In order to live on campus I had to take 4 or 5 (I was taking five). So stressful! D:
Congrats on graduating! It's so much work! Totally worth it though, to have college on your resume!

Welcome to the forum. Oliver is definitely a cutie!! One of my favorite dogs was a stray dachshund my kids rescued and gave to me as a gift!! She was absolutely momma's girl. Good luck with your little guy!
