Hi Ya'll from the Midwest

Hi there,
New here. Just a general dog lover all my life. Had a pekapompoo, dalmation, and golden retriever growing up. My golden retriever lost her hearing at about 10 yrs old, and her and I learned our own hand language together for the last 3 years until she passed from nasal cancer. I have a huge soft spot for senior dogs, and deaf dogs as well because of this. She was the best dog ever.

Now I'm a Mom, Wife, and Furbaby mom who loves the outdoors and going to dog beach and the dog park with my real kid and fur kid.
I have Blue, who is now seven and we adopted her at about 4 months old. Her daddy was a catahoula leopard dog, and her mommy was a total mix and a stray who was camped out in an abandoned car on the catahoula owner's farm. She is a very smart, very loving, and very protective gal. We love her to death. She is also my four year old daugther's "model" for tutus and princess crowns in the evenings. Those two are iseperable.

I am going on Saturday to adopt a mastiff/dane mix who is about 3 months old they think. We are going to have fun figuring out her possible breeds when we get her home, as I'm sure they are just doing their best guessing.

So...more to come once we get her home!

Looking forward to reading the wealth of information on this site and interacting with ya'll! (I used to live in Texas and just cannot seem to stop using "ya'll". It's so efficient )

I miss Texas! I lived in San Antonio for a bit, and my parents still live there. We go down about once a year to visit for our vacation and sun worshipping.
But my family is originally from northern MN, so we're used to all kinds of weather now
