Hi there, new here

Hi all!

I've been pouring over dog websites the past couple days, and figured I would join instead of just lurking.

I don't have any dogs at the moment, well, living with me. I had a German Shepherd/Red Heeler cross, but I had to leave her at the farm when I moved for university. Would just not do city life. She is now my dad's dog, until something is wrong with her then and she has to go to the vet. Then she is mine lol.

I'd love to get another dog, but being a full time student and working, the bf working full time and living in an apartment, it just couldn't work right now.

Even though I already go for walks with a friend and her dog, spend many hours outdoors fishing or horse back riding and I work in a stable that allows dogs and have no problem paying for doggy daycare on the days it'll be home alone for more than a couple hours. But the bf keeps reminding me that this apartment is not going to work for a dog. Sadly, he is right. Doesn't stop wanting a dog though.

So I'll just live the dog owning life through you guys on here!

I think it maybe could, but with me from a farm and him from a small, small town, we are used to being able to let dogs outside and still have the mentality that dogs must have a yard to romp in at free will.

I know lots of dogs are perfectly fine in apartments, but still, even having a place to just tie the dog outside to enjoy the outdoors is better than nothing in my mind.

I honestly would love a miniature pinscher. They seem to have such characters.
