Hi hi! I'm Sanypsia.

Hey guys! My username's Sanypsia (Pronounced San-Yip-See-Ah) and... means absolutely nothing, I have no idea how I made it up.

I'm new to the dog forums and just wanted to pop in and say hello. I'm awkward, gaudy, weird and spend much of my time talking to my dogs. I know two Border Collie breeders personally (though they breed working ranch dogs and are old time farmers) as well as a Rottweiler breeder for TCB Rotts. She's just had a litter of 7 boys and 1 girl a few days ago! I had been invited to help whelp, but my own dogs have kennel cough and my aunt flatly denied me access to her house. Which I understand the need for!

A little about me... 19, three dogs, eight cats, living at home, working as a pet/house sitter and dog walker, with a desire to start fostering pregnant dogs/nursing females/abandoned litters of puppies and, eventually and if I still have a desire for it somewhere down the road, start up my own pregnant dog rescue. However that's a long way away if it even happens. Always looking to glean information on anything dog related, training, health and nutrition and breed-wise which is why I joined.

My three dogs all came from the same litter of 13 puppies, and yes ALL 13 survived! Rascal and Scamp both came to us at 8 weeks of age, Jessy came a year later when the breeder realized that the home that had taken her was abusive. We were involved with the litter from 2 weeks of age until the day we took them home and had our dibs early. All three are encroaching on 3 years of age come June 1st 2014. They're Border Collie/Mix, however only Rascal really acquired the BC brain. Scamp is more like his mother and Jessy is somewhere in the middle.

Rascal is my fetch dog and, when he's all better and weather is prettier, we'll be working on backyard agility training. Scamp is just a nutcase who likes chasing other dogs and lives up to his Scampish name - he truly does Scamper away from everything scary, though I've been trying to make him deal with it. Jessy is our cat-dog diva who came away from cattle dog life. She's a fantastic herder and now spends her time herding our cats (gently.)

The next dog I'm interested in getting would be either Dalmatian, Catahoula Leopard Dog, Blue Heeler or, of course, a Border.. from a shelter this time.

Anyway enough text. My beautiful dogs:

From left to right: Jessy, Rascal, Scamp. (Rascal has his ball and Scamp has the nearly solid black coat.)

It's nice to meet you all and I'm eager to learn what you have to teach!
