Hi all, just thought I'd pop in and say hi as I'm new to the forum.
I'm 26 and live in central Scotland. I got married in July and as a wedding present to each other my husband and I "rescued" a border collie puppy. I say rescued as she was living with a family who didn't think through getting her - they lived in a small house with 2 young kids under 5 and another one on the way, toys and small things lying everywhere and an 11 week old puppy roaming the house all day being tormented by kids. For the first few weeks of us having her she was pooing balloons and crayons!
Anyway, the mum decided they couldn't look after her in their current situation, so we got her! She was originally from working stock and was bought from a farm in Aberdeen.
Anyway, she's just over 6 months now and is a little gem. She is so clever and her training is coming along nicely. We love hiking and bagging munros, so now she's big enough we can't wait to take her with us.
She's my first dog, but hubby had a few when growing up so he's used to training them. So any advice anyone has for me on life with a BC would be greatly appreciated!
I look forward to hearing from other dog addicts!
