Niko my Aussie isnt deaf but does know hand signals for: sit, lay down, shake, "other paw", go around me, speak, back up, beg, stand up, wait, stay, come, and "put your paws up".
--I think he leans better when I teach the trick with a hand signal that just with voice alone (since dogs do rely more on body language anyways it makes sense) Just tell you so that you know first hand training with sign language isnt that hard, you'll have tons of fun with it!
Cant wait to see some more pictures and video once he learns some hand signals using DSL (doggy sign language
