Hey from the prairies
Hello, I'm new here and thought i'd introduce myself quickly. I'm Sal and I'm an avid gardner, dog lover and aquarist. I've pretty much always had dogs in my life and I can't imagine living without one. When I was younger, I had two poodles, though now I have an undying love for big, lovable mongrels.
Ratchet is my oldest dog and he's a Heeler/Corgi mix with a dash of border collie. He doesn't really look like a border, but he has the border attitude and intelligence. He's a rescue who had a very rough life before I adopted him - he went through several homes due to his errr... enthusiasm for life. He's definately a success story though since he grew up into a well-behaved dog, though he's still the class clown in his agility courses.
Tesla is a Weim/German Shepherd/lab mix that I got when a co-worker had an unexpected batch of puppies. She's definately my girl - I had to switch her from agility to rally-O since she didn't want to work away from me. Looking back it was probably for the best. She's not exactly the most co-ordinated and had a bad habit of jumping into the side-poles.
The expanded family pack includes my parents' three havanese dogs - a retired show-dog diva, another class clown, and a tomboy puppy who may just be chaos incarnate.
