Hi! It's soooo difficult to leave dogs to go to school. Have you thought about "pet sitting" or volunteering at a local shelter? My daughter in college used to go and hang out at shelters and volunteering; she would also go and walk dogs for people in the neighborhood. Put up a flier on a college bulletin board, earn some money and get your dog lovin! Couldn't have a dog in a college apartment so I rescued a cat and that was helpful too. She was a companion for 18 years.
I hated being homesick!!!!!

yes i have though about going and volunteering at the shelter here in town but schedule is so busy but me and my boyfriend usually go in about once a week and say hi to all of the dogs there. im living in the dorm and the only pet we are allowed are fish and they just arent the same lol. the pet walking and sitting is a great idea! id love that (id even get my exercise in too lol ) well im glad you were able to get a friend in a cat for that long. and luckly enough im going back home for a visit in 2 weeks get to see the dogs !!

I won't suggest you do this but my daughter in college actually got a hamster that she kept in her dorm room. She's now a psychologist and that hamster did tricks that were unbelievable! She told her dorm manager that it was a "project". lol
Hang in there! What are you majoring in?

Congratulations on finishing up this semester! Keep moving forward with as much education/certificates that you can as you will NEVER regret it! Medical Lab Tech sounds great too. Good luck!

I admire your foresight. Don't think you'll have a problem finding a job in either though! Education is SO worth it.
