Hello from Ohio

Hello,
You can call me either Priss or Rei I've been called both or a combination of the two by various people. I currently own one dog and due to current living conditions I live with my mothers dog as well.

My dog is a 9yr old quarter Rott mix named Lightning, who I have had since the day he was born. We owned his mother and due to a attraction I had to him (And I still firmly believe his mothers conniving) I had to keep him out of the rest of the pups in the litter. He is by far the challenge and success story that I own up to. The 'dominate' one out of the litter hes trained by my own hand to do as I say down to just nothing more than a sound or a finger snap from me. The only curve ball he threw me was learning how to curb his natural herding instinct, which I would have loved to let grow in him but couldn't due to the lack of knowledge of where I could take him to allow such a thing to happen.

The other dog in the house is a 1yr 3month old rottweiler named Bofa Jo. She had been planned in the house for a year but got put off when Lightnings mate Joker became ill. She only entered the house as a pup after we were sure he was finished grieving and was ready to accept a new companion in his life as well as the house. This dog has been interesting to train and due to me trying not to bond too closely with her because shes not my dog has proven interesting in me correcting a few behavioral habits, more so since her actual owner lets her get away with them with the excuses like 'Its just a napkin she'll pass it.'

I've attached a couple pictures each of the dogs. The black, white and tan one is my boy Lightning. The traditional rottweiler looking one is the pup Bofa.

Thank you,
Anymore they are the heat is sapping a lot of energy out of them and all they want to do is bask in the AC. Which them being big and black we allow. I'm hoping since I want some of these issues fixed before I go out and get a new puppy myself. I want Lightning to train me one. Just haven't decided what breed yet even though I have an idea. I just don't want them to pick up on the pups bad habits and think thats okay when it really isn't under any circumstances.
