Welcome to the forums!
As you are dealing with a breed of dog that does not have a large population base in the UK, you might want to look up people who are used to keeping large, active dogs rather than people who specialise in this particular breed. Look for people who foster Livestock Guardian dogs of all stripes, Molosser breeds, and possibly people who are into St. Bernards or Bernese Mountain dogs who are up for a challenge.
As long as this dog is not coming from a background that has left him fearful, aggressive, or otherwise hugely problematic, care requirements should not be terribly different from other large, headstrong breeds. If he does have behavioural issues, he should be evaluated by a behaviourist, and only placed in a situation with a qualified individual upon their recommendation. At the very least, in that situation a foster would need a proven track record with that particular problem, not that particular type of dog.
