Smile Hello from Montana!

Hi,
New here, thought I'd introduce myself and my "little men"....
I will try to "edit" myself, or this could get very long!

Our first two dogs were miniature poodles, they were two weeks apart in age, one lived to be 16 1/2 and the other 19.
It absolutely broke my heart loosing them, I told my hubby I could never go through that again....

Never say never, right?
After almost two years of being dog-less, my hubby convinced me to stop in the Humane Society. We fell in love with a
1 year old Brindle, mixed breed, Boston Terrier and Chihuahua. And so Izzie came to be....

A year later we were donating some custom printed shirts for all of the volunteers, for an event that the County Shelter was having.
We took a peek around while in there, and the moment our eyes met, I knew we were not going to be leaving with out Nylz, a 2 year old, Blue Min Pin.

They are so wonderful together, they just absolutely adore each other!
So, once again, we feel that we have been blessed with a couple awesome little dogs in our lives, we love them dearly!

Welcome!
Your dogs are super cute!

I can't believe you found a blue Min Pin at a shelter!
My Min Pin is also adopted.

Thank You!
(I put a few pictures in an album, if you want to see some more of them...)
I will have to take a peak at yours, looks like you have your hands full!

Yes, Nylz is pretty unique.
I did not know Min Pins came in anything other than Black and Tan, but I did some research, found out they are also breeding them in Fawn.

Poor little Nylz came from a very bad place, apparently it was a puppy mill type home AND domestic abuse.
He was soooo thin when we found him at the shelter, you could see his spine and hips, and he was very lethargic. He also had a very serious bacterial infection. Our vet told us if we had not brought him in, he would have died with in the next 24 hours.
I feel very fortunate that we were able to give him a happy, healthy home!

My poor hubby has had to work very hard on over coming Nylz's distrust of men, but they have come a long way in just a few months!

Izzie had been in the County Shelter twice, and then the Humane Society came and took him once they had an opening. Other than being abandoned a couple times in his first year and a half of life, he luckily did not have any issues that we had to heal.

Awww... Poor Nylz! It sounds like you found him just in time!
I am glad both he and Izzie have a good home with you now!

And yep! Min pins come in a variety of colors (black&tan, chocolate&tan, red, stag, blue, fawn). The AKC disqualifies blues and fawns from the showring. I'm not completely sure about kennel clubs in other countries though.

Hiya, man I want to get back to Montana. I was born in Havre, and we use to hunt near my Grandmas house in Glasgow.

Welcome aboard, and see ya on the play ground.

Thanks to all you for making "us" feel welcome!

ScentHound, we sure love it here in Montana. Wouldn't live any where else.
We are in the upper NW corner about 30 minutes from the Canadian border as well as Glacier National Park.

Hope you make it back soon!

Boxerluv, thank you, thank you, & thank you!

fawkese1, I am so glad too, they are such a real joy.
(It is funny how I never seemed to see any brindle dogs around before we had one, now we seem to see them all the time!)
