Hello from the Maritimes

Hello Everyone,
I'm still finding my way around the site but I thought I'd introduce myself and let you know that I'm really enjoying the forum so far. It's so nice to see such a great assortment of dogs and such friendly people.

My name is Melanie and I'm a happily married, stay at home mom. My husband works overseas and has been very understanding of my accumulation of puppers...lol

My dogs mean the world to me and it's great to find a place where others feel the same about their furry companions. I have 4 pekingese and a pug. My two recent additions are so I can try my hand at showing, not sure how that will go, being that I am a fairly intoverted person...lol ...but it will be fun to try.
I still have so much to learn but I'm shooting for late spring.

We live in the country and enjoy the outdoors. Recently moved from the West Coast (BC) to the East coast (NS) Like to craft, make doggie quilts and I love Hockey...
Thanks for allowing me to join
Seems like a fun group!

Thanks for such a warm welcome!

I posted some pics of my puppers under the dog section,
hope I did that right. I think I saw another heading that said dog pics, so I will head over there too...lol You all will get sick of seeing my babies

Mikey...I actually prefer the slower, laid-back ways of the people here in the Maritimes much more than the hurried and sometimes 'not so friendly' ways of people in the bigger cities in BC. We got here just before the snow hit, last winter and that about killed me!!! But this winter has been easy, at least compared to the one before. We almost had a green Christmas and haven't had anywhere near the snowfall we were expecting. Then again, maybe it just took that 8 feet of snow and -44' temps, from last year, to toughen me up...lol

Thanks again for having me
