Ohhhh your friends call you much nicer names than mine do ..the dog in the picture is our beloved Marley moo. Marley was a rescue from Romania, we were told he had hip dysplasia but when he arrived my vet suspected it was a neck injury..full body xrays revealed he had suffered 2 broken vertebra in his neck, broken ribs 3broken.tail bones and the bas***ds had hacked half his tail off . We took him to neuro surgeons..got him all the help he needed but sadly last July his spine collapsed and we had to say goodbye to him. I don't think we will ever recover from losing our big boy. He was terrified of everyone and everything but a total baby with us..a127lb baby !!! We loved him so much and miss him more than anything. Willow was born the night Marley left us..she was dumped at a rescue with her mum and siblings as a newborn and my friends who worked in rescue persuaded us to have her. My heart was broken.and I didn't want her, but the rest of the family did and I have to say she has helped us heal. She brought laughter back into the house..she will never replace Marley but she has helped fill the gaping hole he left xxx

Just read this. I have a Greek shepherd rescue and can relate. I get so upset at what people do to dogs in those countries. They have one of the most magnificent/lovely dogs and they just treat them like pests

Thank you for giving Marley a chance at normal. He was a very lucky dog!

We lost our beloved rescue Cav (Maddy) to heart failure in 2012, like you I was thinking I couldn't love another dog like I loved her. We then got a call from the rescue we got Maddy from to say they had this sweet dog in foster who would be perfect for us as she too was cat friendly like Maddy - the catch was that she was a Springer Spaniel We met her & she stole our hearts I'm convinced Maddy sent her to us, because having her here helped us so much, we love her to bits! & as you can see, she is definitely cat friendly

Thankyou both of you..i just despair at the human race sometimes the cruelty these dogs suffer makes me feel physically sick and I honastly would end up in prison if I ever came across the evil scum who treat these beautiful animals in this way..
Yea..it was hard getting another dog..i felt the family had betrayed him and getting s pup was something I struggled with..i knew a pup could be homed a thousand times over and i wanted to give a home to an over looked dog..there was another rommie that needed a home too..but she had had surgery and we had no trust in what the rommie vets had said. Marleys treatment pretty much cleared out our savings so didn't want to knowingly take on another sick dog..but my husband begged me for the pup saying he was heartbroken and just couldn't bare losing another sick dog so soon after Marley..he felt.we deserved a no issues healthy rescue puppy after what we had been.through..so I gave in..who can resist a heartbroken man and a puppy ??...id met willow before she came home because I sometimes helped with the resue transporting animals etc..but the day I brought her home and placed her in andys arms I knew it was the right thing...she seems to have marleys spirit..the first thing she did when she went into the garden was dig a hole the size of her..a typical Marley trait it was the right thing to rescue a pup..we do deserve a happy healthy no issues dog..but our heart are still broken and I'm still so angry he finally got the chance of love and a home but it was cut short because of the injuries they inflicted on him..im just grateful he knew he was loved before we had to say good bye...and I'm grateful for Willow and certain she was sent by Marley xxx
