Smile Hello to everyone!!!

Hello! My name is Persa and I am from Greece. I feel very lucky owning an absolutely crazy miniature pinscher whose name is Killer . He is 2 years old and as you can imagine there is still a lot of energy in this tiny dog!

Anyways, I really enjoy the fact that I found a forum somehow "international" because so far I was member only to Greek forums, and I would like to learn things that maybe we are not even aware of here. As you probably would know, Greece is like a hell to stray animals and not only. There is no serious treatement to pet owners nor to the people that make huge effort to help strays. Many times you can not even trust the vet to whom you are taking your puppy.

That's all for now!

Know what you mean-I've been twice and was really upset at the strays-and the olympic/stray debacle was upsetting

It sounds like things may be changing-there seems to be more and more pet owners there, rather then just strays

Welcome to the forum! I have many friends from Greece and some relatives there . I visit Greece almost every summer and from what I see I think things are going better as far as strays go. However, I find it extremely difficult to move around with your pet without your own car.

I agree that there is an improvement, but this improvement is achieved from common people who gather starys from the streets, sterilize them on their own expense and try to find them new homes. The state does nearly nothing for that matter. The laws exist but they are not enforced...

I just hope that things are going to get better...

Welcome to the forum!!!!!

I'm so glad to see another min pin owner here!!!
Plus, if Killer is anything like my Penny, know that I'll be able to hear some interesting stories!
They are such fun little dogs, don't you think? But they deffinately need "special" owners!

I do not know if they need special owners, Killer is really well-behaved without any special training...He would play even with rabbits (we used to have one in our cottage and Killer was so excited playing with him!) Neither he would destroy things that are in the house, he is chewing only his toys! I guess that sometimes behavior is a matter of genes and character and it is not based 100% on the owner. But I love this breed so much! The thing that I really like is the fact that they are not aware of their size and they behave like large dogs!

Interesting! I wonder if the bloodlines in Europe are different. Here in the US, minpins are notorious for being difficult dogs

Hes very cute either way
